Departure from WAWA market at 5:40AM. Departure from Newark airport at 8:40 AM via Continental flight # 1402, arrival at LAX by 11:40AM. Transport to Joshua Tree National Park by Coach USA bus. (Expected arrival time 4 PM). Park visit. Accommodations at Motel 6, phone 760 367 2833. Naked-eye astronomy night, led by the
"Sky's the Limit".
DAY 2 (Sunday, Oct 29): Joshua Tree National Park
Hiking during the day. Telescope-aided astronomy night organized by the
"Sky's the Limit" at Barker Dam campground.
DAY 3 ( Monday, Oct 30): Departure to Palomar Observatory
Visit to the observatory: 1:30-4:30PM. Arrival by 9:00 PM at the Vagabond Inn, 1203 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena. Phone: 626 577-8873.
Day 4 (Tuesday, October 31) Activities at Caltech 10:00AM: Visit campus and physics department. 2:00PM: Kenneth Libbrecht, 2PM, Room 114 East Bridge 4:00PM: John Schwarz on string theory, 469 Lauritsen Evening: participation in Halloween Caltech events

Hike to Echo Mountain in the afternoon (in search of Mercury)
DAY 6 (Thursday, Nov 2): activities at Caltech. 10:00AM:: Kamiokonski on dark matter, 114 Bridge Annex 3:30PM: departure to Mt Wilson. Observation night at Wilson observatory.
Return to Pasadena by 1:00AM
DAY 7 (Friday, Nov 3): Return
Visit to Point Dume in Malibu on the way to the airport. Dinner at Venice Beach. Departure from LAX at 9:55 PM via Continental flight #1803
DAY 8 (Saturday Nov 4)
Arrival in Newark (6:00AM). Return to Princeton by bus. Expected arrival time 8:00 AM.
